Where appropriate, submitted information may be independently verified before being used in any publication.
Unless the contributor has expressly consented otherwise, MDCO will treat the identity of contributors as confidential and will not identify the source of submitted information in any publication.
Anonymous information may be used as an investigative lead but will not be treated as established fact without reasonable verification.
Dialogue and Right of Reply
One objective of MDCO is to facilitate informed and constructive dialogue among stakeholders.
From time to time, MDCO may issue written requests for clarification, comment or information to organisations, public authorities or other stakeholders.
To promote transparency and informed public discussion:

Where a substantive response is received, MDCO’s general practice is to publish the response in full, subject only to reasonable editorial formatting, legal obligations, protection of confidential information or removal of material that is unlawful to publish.
The publication of correspondence does not imply agreement with any statement made by either party.
